Committee on the Status of Foreigners
The The Committee on the Status of Foreigners draws up the legal reports and channels the Bar's action as regards immigration laws. Furthermore it draws up the programmes for training courses and conferences on the status of foreigners.
The Committee offers a service that schedules appointment required meetings which permit ICAB lawyers to file applications for authorisations with the competent Administration, and provides guidance both on the documents required and the administrative guidelines in force. The necessary forms and information can be downloaded from the website on the status of foreigners, which is regularly updated, and where you can find the latest news.
Furthermore, the Committee channels the queries sent by the lawyers and meets with the relevant authorities so as to deal with them. It also coordinates the Immigrants, Foreigners and Refugees Service (SAIER) created through an agreement with the Town Council of Barcelona as a result of which it gives advice to and provides legal services for foreigners registered in the city of Barcelona.
